Unai Emery Wins Premier League Manager of the Month for December 2025
Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for December 2025. This is the third time he has won this award.
The former Arsenal boss led his team to an amazing five wins from their six league games in December. This great form has put Aston Villa right in the middle of the race for the Premier League title.
Aston Villa’s Strong December Results
Villa’s busy month started with a thrilling 4-3 win against Brighton. Striker Ollie Watkins scored two important goals in that game.
Next, they beat Arsenal 2-1 in a very exciting match. Emiliano Buendia scored the winning goal in the 95th minute.
The team then won three more games by a single goal. They beat West Ham United 3-2, and then had two 2-1 wins against Manchester United and Chelsea.
Their only loss in December was against Arsenal on the 30th. This defeat ended their eight-game winning run. But Villa have started the new year well, taking four points from two games to stay in third place in the league.
Emery’s Manager of the Month History
This is Unai Emery’s first Manager of the Month award since 2023. He won it twice that year, in April and December. He is now one of only five Aston Villa managers to ever win this award. Only Martin O’Neill, with four awards, has won it more times for Villa than Emery’s three.
The award shows how well Unai Emery has done at Aston Villa. He has made the team very strong and they are now challenging for the top spot in the Premier League.
