On Monday, Tuokpe Onuwaje, the first wife of former presidential aide and popular social media commentator Reno Omokri, voiced her concerns about his relationship with their son, who has special needs.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Onuwaje claimed that Omokri had not spent meaningful time with their child since June 2024. She alleged that the boy, who requires extra attention and care, has been left longing for his father’s consistent presence.
According to her, parenting is about showing up every day and being actively involved in a child’s life, not just appearing for “staged photos” online. She emphasized that their son deserves more than what she described as “fleeting visits” compared to the attention Omokri gives to his other children.
Onuwaje urged Reno Omokri to choose family connection over social media optics, stressing that true fatherhood is defined by meaningful, everyday moments and not digital validation.
