Chelsea have confirmed that highly-rated academy midfielder Kiano Dyer has signed a new contract with the club, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2030.
The 18-year-old midfielder will spend the ongoing season on loan at Dutch Eredivisie side FC Volendam, as the Blues look to give him valuable first-team experience.
Dyer, who first joined Chelsea from West Bromwich Albion at the end of his Under-14 spell, has steadily risen through the ranks. He has been a consistent performer for Chelsea’s Under-21 squad and even made his first-team debut last December in a UEFA Conference League victory against Astana.
Chelsea’s new head coach Enzo Maresca and the club have expressed their full support for the youngster, wishing him success as he embarks on this new challenge in the Netherlands.
