Edward Onoja, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, believes that peace can be restored between ex-Governor Yahaya Bello and suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Speaking on the Mic On Podcast over the weekend, Onoja dismissed allegations linking Bello to Natasha’s suspension from the Senate.

“Was said, I didn’t say that, I didn’t know that, and I don’t want to believe that,” he clarified, stressing that the claims should not be taken as fact.

    “Peace is better than war”

Onoja encouraged both Bello and Natasha to reconcile, describing such resolution as the natural course for “brothers and sisters.” He recalled moments when Natasha was part of the All Progressives Congress (APC), where Bello personally welcomed her into the fold.

“Once upon a time Natasha was in our party, APC, invited in by Yahaya Bello, and they dined together. They have been friends,” Onoja revealed.

He further narrated how Bello once asked him to stand up and greet Natasha at an event in the Glass House, Kogi State Government House — an instruction he dutifully obeyed.

“Peace is better than war,” Onoja concluded, expressing hope that the strained relationship between the two political figures can be mended.
