    1. PENGASSAN Orders Halt of Crude Supply to Dangote Refinery

    The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has instructed its members across key oil and gas companies to stop crude oil and gas supply to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery. This comes after the refinery allegedly dismissed 800 workers last Thursday, sparking union backlash.


    2. ₦82 Million Worth of Illicit Drugs Seized in Kano

    The Kano State Police Command intercepted a vehicle loaded with cartons of suspected illicit drugs valued at over ₦82 million. The operation, which took place at Rimin Auzinawa Quarters on September 20, followed credible intelligence and was described as a major victory against drug trafficking in the state.


    3. Dangote Refinery Resumes PMS Sale in Naira After Suspension

    Less than 24 hours after halting the sale of premium motor spirit (PMS) in Naira, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reversed its decision. The turnaround came after the intervention of Dr. Zacch Adedeji, Chairman of the Naira for Crude Transaction Committee and Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

    4. 12 Bus Passengers Abducted Along Okene-Auchi Road

    Suspected kidnappers attacked a Toyota bus along the Okene-Auchi road in Kogi State, abducting 12 passengers traveling from Abuja to Benin, Edo State. The victims reportedly fell into an ambush staged by the armed men on Friday.


    5. Ondo Police Rescue Four-Year-Old From Trafficking Syndicate

    The Ondo State Police Command has rescued a four-year-old girl from a child-trafficking ring allegedly operating across Ondo, Delta, and Anambra States. Police PRO, Ayanlade Olayinka, described the operation as a major step forward in the fight against human trafficking.


    6. Yobe Police Arrest Four Over Rape, Assault, and Firearms Possession

    Police in Yobe State arrested four suspects linked to crimes ranging from child rape to unlawful possession of firearms. According to spokesman SP Dungus Abdulkari, two suspects, Jarma Hussaini Adam (25) and Mohammed Abdusalam (16), were arrested in Nguru LGA following intelligence reports.


    7. President Tinubu Commissions 874 NDA Cadets Into Armed Forces

    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commissioned 874 cadets into the Nigerian Armed Forces. The cadets are drawn from the 72 Regular Course, Short Service Course 48 (Army), Direct Short Service 33 (Air Force), and Branch Commission 2 (Air Force).

    8. Lagos PDP Dismisses Factional Congress

    The Lagos State PDP has disowned a factional state congress allegedly convened by loyalists of Chief Olabode George. State Chairman, Philip Aivoji, described the move as “illegal and unconstitutional,” emphasizing that the current executive’s tenure remains valid until March 2026.


    9. ADC Candidate Urges INEC to Tackle Vote Buying in Anambra

    Ahead of the upcoming Anambra governorship election, John Nwosu, candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has called on INEC to intensify efforts against vote buying. He warned that failure to address the issue could damage the credibility of the poll.


    10. Delta Govt Sacks Corrupt Health Workers

    The Delta State Ministry of Health has dismissed several fraudulent health workers caught extorting money from pregnant women and children under five for free services. According to Commissioner Dr. Joseph Onojaeme, some officials were demoted as part of disciplinary measures.
