Chelsea have been handed a huge lift ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash against Brentford, as both Romeo Lavia and Benoît Badiashile returned to first-team training.
Lavia, who has been sidelined with a muscle injury since June’s Club World Cup fixture against Benfica, was spotted training with the squad on Monday. His comeback marks a key step in strengthening Chelsea’s midfield options.
Meanwhile, defender Badiashile, who has yet to feature this season due to a persistent fitness issue, was also pictured training alongside his teammates. His return adds depth to Chelsea’s defensive line, which has been hit by injuries in recent months.
With the international break keeping most of Enzo Maresca’s first-team stars away, the session included a mix of recovering players and a few regulars such as Wesley Fofana, Trevoh Chalobah, Enzo Fernández, and summer signing Alejandro Garnacho.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca will be hopeful that both Lavia and Badiashile can build fitness quickly, providing more options as the Blues aim to maintain momentum in the Premier League.
