Crown FC head coach, Ayodeji Ayeni, has made it clear that the Ajilete Warriors are determined to take a huge step forward in the upcoming 2025/26 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
Last season, Crown FC impressed by reaching the NNL play-offs, but they ultimately finished at the bottom of their group, missing out on the much-coveted ticket to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
This time around, Coach Ayeni is confident that his side can go all the way.
“Last year showed what we are capable of; this year, we want to go one better and secure the promotion ticket our fans have long desired,” Ayeni said in an interview with OyoSportsNews.
A Tough Group Ahead
Crown FC will have to navigate through a challenging group that includes Abia Comets, Beyond Limit FA, Edel FC, E-World United, Inter Lagos FC, Godswill Akpabio United, Smart FC, as well as two former NPFL clubs, Sunshine Stars and Heartland FC, both relegated last season.
With such competition, the Ajilete Warriors will need consistency, resilience, and strong performances to clinch a promotion spot.
Season Kick-Off Date
The highly anticipated 2025/26 NNL season officially kicks off on Saturday, November 8, 2025, setting the stage for what promises to be an intense and competitive campaign.
Crown FC fans will be eagerly watching to see if Coach Ayeni and his players can make history by returning to the top flight of Nigerian football.
