Dino Melaye Declares APC’s Reign Over, Predicts Party’s Defeat in 2027

Former lawmaker and outspoken political figure, Dino Melaye, has voiced strong criticism against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that the party’s dominance in Nigerian politics is nearing its end.

Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time, Melaye argued that while APC has “conquered” the nation since assuming power in 2015, Nigerians are now more vigilant and determined to protect their votes in the 2027 general elections.

“There are issues of misgovernance and maladministration out there. Those are the issues I think we should discuss. The APC came, saw and conquered, but 2027 will be a different story,” Melaye stated.

The former senator revealed that he is no longer a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but now proudly represents the African Democratic Congress (ADC)—a party he believes has the capacity to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and reclaim leadership for the people.

Melaye insisted that the opposition is better organized and more prepared than ever before, stressing that the next election cycle will not be “a tea party as usual.”

“Nigerians are wiser. Like the Boy Scouts, we are more prepared, and I want to tell you that we will defend our votes this time,” he affirmed.

The senator’s bold prediction comes amid growing concerns over governance and accountability under the APC administration. His remarks have stirred conversations across the political landscape, especially as parties begin strategizing for 2027.
