The Department of State Services (DSS) has uncovered and arrested two individuals in Kaduna for allegedly running a fake recruitment syndicate in the name of the Service.

The suspects, identified as Aliyu Ibrahim and another accomplice, were caught after intelligence reports revealed their activities. According to preliminary findings, the duo may have deceived between 250 and 350 unsuspecting Nigerians by promising them employment opportunities within the DSS.

A reliable security source confirmed that the suspects are now in custody, and efforts are ongoing to track down other members of the fraudulent network.

The DSS has since warned Nigerians to be extremely cautious of fake recruitment offers. The agency stressed that all genuine recruitment processes are announced strictly through official channels, not through third parties or unauthorized individuals.

The Service also urged the public to remain alert and immediately report suspicious job offers or recruitment schemes to the nearest security agency.
