Enyimba Boss Stanley Eguma Urges Players to Improve Goal Conversion

Enyimba’s technical adviser, Stanley Eguma, has emphasized the need for his side to sharpen their finishing ability as the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) season progresses.

The Aba-based club, popularly known as the People’s Elephant, has managed to score just one goal in their opening two league fixtures. In their most recent game against Niger Tornadoes in Aba, Enyimba created multiple scoring chances but failed to capitalize, leaving fans frustrated.

Eguma admitted that while the team’s overall performance was solid, their inability to convert opportunities into goals is a major concern.

“We created so many scoring opportunities but didn’t take them. That’s one area we must improve on,” Eguma told Completesports.

Looking ahead, Enyimba will face their Oriental rivals, Abia Warriors, in a much-anticipated Matchday 3 clash in Umuahia this weekend. With both sides eager to claim bragging rights, finishing efficiency will play a decisive role in the outcome.

Despite their struggles in front of goal, the Aba giants currently sit in sixth place on the NPFL table with four points, keeping them within striking distance of the top teams.

As the season unfolds, fans will be hoping that Eguma’s men can rediscover their clinical edge and convert their dominance into victories.
