The Jigawa State Police Command has recorded a significant breakthrough in its fight against crime, following the arrest of 13 suspected drug dealers in multiple raids across the state.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Shiisu Lawan Adam, disclosed the development in a statement issued on Monday.
According to him, the coordinated operations were carried out between September 2nd and 6th, 2025, targeting known criminal hideouts and black spots. Police teams drawn from Dutse, Guri, Birnin Kudu, Bamaina, Babura, and Roni divisions acted on credible intelligence that linked the suspects to illegal drug activities and other crimes threatening public peace.

Items Recovered
During the raids, officers recovered a large cache of illicit substances, including:

704 pieces of Exol tablets

264 Tramadol capsules
-
3 Diazepam tablets

2,042 D5 tablets

Four blocks of Indian hemp
All items were seized as exhibits, while investigations into the suspects’ networks are ongoing.
The police confirmed that the suspects will be charged to court once a discreet investigation is concluded.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Dahiru Muhammad, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the state. He further warned all criminal elements to desist from unlawful activities or risk facing the full weight of the law.
He also appealed to the public for continuous support by providing credible and timely information that will enable proactive policing.
