Nicolas Jackson Opens Up After Chelsea Exit to Bayern Munich

Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson has finally spoken out after making a surprise switch to Bayern Munich.

The Senegal international completed a season-long loan deal with the Bundesliga champions after slipping down the pecking order under manager Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.

Interestingly, the move almost didn’t happen. On transfer deadline day, Bayern’s plans were nearly scrapped after Liam Delap’s injury, but both clubs eventually came to an agreement that allowed Jackson to make the switch.

In an interview with TuttoSport (via Mirror), Jackson revealed that leaving Chelsea was a bittersweet moment.

“I felt very strong emotions, but not for the reasons you might think,” Jackson explained.

“I was simply very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in the world, to discover another league and play alongside great players. At the same time, I was a little sad to leave Chelsea, my teammates, and the fans.

Football is about cycles. I respect Maresca a lot, I learned many things from him, and he has his own philosophy. I have no regrets—only gratitude for my time at Chelsea.”

Jackson’s words reflect a player who leaves London with pride and respect, yet embraces the opportunity of writing a new chapter with one of Europe’s most decorated clubs.

As Bayern Munich look ahead to their domestic and Champions League campaigns, Jackson will aim to prove himself and reignite his form in front of goal. Chelsea fans, meanwhile, will be watching closely to see how their striker develops in Bavaria.
