Czech First League side Slavia Prague have officially confirmed the signing of highly-rated Nigerian midfielder, Mubarak Suleiman, on a permanent transfer.
The promising youngster arrives at the club from Right 2 Win Academy, one of Nigeria’s well-known football development centers and a partner institution of the Czech outfit.
Although the full details of Suleiman’s contract remain undisclosed, reports confirm that the 18-year-old impressed the Slavia Prague coaching staff during a trial spell, earning him a spot in the team.
For now, the central midfielder will feature with the Slavia Prague B team, where he is expected to continue his development. The long-term plan, however, is for Suleiman to gradually transition into the first team as he adapts to European football.
This move represents another milestone for Nigerian football, as Suleiman joins the growing list of young stars making their mark abroad.
